Job Description

Monterey Consultants, Inc. is looking for several Provider Recruiters to join our team! The purpose of this position is to provide strategic and comprehensive physician recruitment in accordance with the needs and goals of the customer’s Department of Labor contract. This includes recruiting qualified medical providers of all specialties; negotiating fees and coordinating the execution of the provider contracts within established guidelines.


  • Qualify and contract with medical providers for Department of Labor/Federal Employee Workers Compensation examinations across the nation, or other programs to support QTC needs. 
  • Ensure that all open tickets (requests for new providers) are consistently worked on and updated in CRM tracking tool
  • Meet all benchmarks in accordance with schedule
  • Proactive communication via phone and e-mail, recruiting at least 6 hours per day, making 8-10 phone calls per hour on average
  • Educate prospective provider candidates on claimants’ case Statement of Accepted Facts
  • Build and maintain healthy relationships with provider candidates and contracted providers
  • Identify process improvements
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • At least 1 year proven success in recruitment, sales or clinic consulting, preferably in healthcare or managed care, including phone and/or in-person sales of services, devices, equipment or pharmaceuticals to provider offices and clinics


  • Well-developed sales, negotiation, customer service and training skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Persuasive sales acumen with closing ability
  • Proficient with Windows operating system, Internet Explorer Browser and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized and detail oriented

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
