Job description

Monterey Consultants, Inc. is looking for a Provider Recruiter to join our team! The purpose of this position is to provide strategic and comprehensive physician recruitment for locum tenens providers in various specialties. In addition to locum tenens recruitment the Provider Recruiter will assist in building a network of providers across the country to support the Veterans Affairs, Department of Labor, FBI and US Secret Service exam programs. This includes recruiting qualified medical providers of all specialties, negotiating fees and coordinating the execution of the provider contracts within established guidelines.

*This position will start as in-office for training purposes and may move to a hybrid remote/in-office status*

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and recruit qualified physicians for contracted assignments
  • Proactively contact and recruit prospective candidates to establish relationships, understand their needs and qualify them for job opportunities
  • Educate prospective candidates on the personal and professional benefits of a locum tenens career
  • Generate leads through various recruiting channels, strategic planning and referrals
  • Build and maintain unique relationships, both internally and externally
  • Strive for continuous improvement and career advancement
  • Strong motivation to achieve results and meet recruiting goals
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency
  • Client-centered mentality and passion for customer service

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
  • At least 5 years proven success in physician recruitment and/or staffing.
  • Prefer experience with heavy phone recruitment activity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially phone skills.
  • Strong database management application skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Well-developed sales, negotiation, customer service and training skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills to help effectively manage multiple projects and large amounts of information and documentation.
  • Persuasive sales acumen with closing ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and dynamic personality.
